New Moon in Cancer June 2025

The energy of Cancer, in astrology,  is initiatory and the symbolism centres around the home, family and nurturing.  This new moon is in very close conjunction to Jupiter, associated with expansion, optimism and luck.  As all new moons are a powerful time to set new intentions, It seems that the cosmos is aligned for us to benefit from good fortune at this time – particularly around our home and family. 

Jupiter is also associated with wisdom and faith.  It could be that we need to have faith and use our wisdom to understand a situation.  The energy building toward the solstice was particularly tense and we may be learning that our individual desires and needs can be at odds with the family or the wider community.  

We often learn lessons through destructive experiences so we need to be clear about setting intentions that are for the collective good and not just our own needs.  If we wilfully forge ahead on a path that isn’t benefiting others we may find that we get stopped in our tracks. Being mindful that any intentions set now may be amplified, ought to caution us to set our goals for the higher good of all.
